Wallace Theater Camp Junior!

Theater Camp Junior! WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE: Explore the story through DRAMA!!! for ages 4-8. This camp will be led by our Education Coordinator Jillian Johnstone!

Campers will explore the story of Where the Wild Things Are through guided drama lesson activities. Students develop drama skills: creating, responding, and performing throughout various themed drama experiences based on this famous story by Maurice Sendak.

In-Person 4 Day Camp June 14-17 (9:00am-12:00pm Monday-Thursday) $75 per camper,

$60 if signed up by May 1st. Siblings $65 per child if signed up by June 1st.

The final performance will be June 17th at 12:15pm.

Meet Jill!

Jillian Johnstone is the Wallace Theater Education Coordinator. She is originally from Florence, South Carolina. She received hands-on training in theater and film while attending Coker College and Winthrop University. She has done acting work on stage and film as well as technical theater work. She has extensive experience in costuming, stage makeup, wig styling, and directing. Additionally, she has worked with Lubbock Moonlight Musical Summer Camps and Fall and Spring Academies and she also works with Lubbock Community Theatre.

She and her husband moved to Lubbock in 2017 when he became a state trooper for the Texas Department of Public Safety. He is stationed in Levelland. They have one child, a nine-month-old named Lillian. Jillian has 10+ years of experience in sales and customer service and 9 years of insurance sales experience.
