CALL FOR LOCAL TALENT - LEVELLAND/LUBBOCK

“CORNERSTONES OF COURAGE”

Readers Theater Performance

November 11-15, 2026

The WallaceTheater

Levelland, Texas

MISSION STATEMENT

Provide a multi-media presentation which educates and motivates audiences to value freedoms made possible due to the sacrifices of others by sharing the compelling story of 22-year-old Marine, William Bordelon, who was the first Texan to receive a posthumous Medal of Honor Award for his bravery in WWII.

SCOPE OF PROJECT

Seated onstage, two female and five male actors read from script books voicing multiple roles over a music track, as projections enliven the story. (Runtime 46 minutes w/Q&A afterward)

  • Speeches – 194 timed to music track performed with a variety of personalities per actor

  • Speeches – timed within allotted music measures, as over-speaking or under-speaking impacts the next actor’s music cues
