KELSEY PECK (Congregation Member) Kelsey is a graduate of Lubbock Christian University with a B.A. in music and a master’s in special education. Since graduating, she has been very involved in community theater, participating in over twenty shows such as Grease, Elf, The Little Mermaid, and Cinderella. She is thrilled to be a part of the cast of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Kelsey is currently an educational diagnostician and a freelance digital artist.
PENELOPE FERRIS (Congregation Member) Penelope is looking forward to her first production with the Wallace Theatre. She was most recently in South Plains College Theatre's production of Working: The Musical. She was involved in Moonlight Musicals’s high school division, Moonlight Directions. Penelope performed her first show there as Jack(Into the Woods Jr.). She performed many musical sets, her favorite being the Disney musical set performing the song “Two Worlds, One Family” as Tarzan. She would go on to be a part of the cast of their summer musicals as Gingy(Shrek:The Musical Jr.), Centipede(James and the Giant Peach Jr.). In 2019, she joined Horizons School of the Arts. She was part of the casts of High School Musical: On Stage as Martha Cox, and Frozen Jr. as Olaf.
Penelope also participated in her theatre at Lubbock-Cooper High School. Her favorite roles include Prentiss(Peter and the Starcatcher), Witch III(Macbeth), Helsa/Dieter Wensel(The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940), Mrs. Western(The History of Tom Jones), and Delightful(Dearly Departed). She also had experience being part of the crew for various productions. She was Assistant Director, set designer, and lighting for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. She was sound tech for her sophomore year One Act, Blue Stockings. She did the SFX makeup for the production of The Blackbox and assisted in set design for Dearly Departed.
She has recently finished her last semester at South Plains College, and will be attending McMurry University as a theatre major with a focus in directing and playwriting. Penelope hopes to write and direct her own plays and musicals in the future. She is excited to work with the Wallace Theatre, and being in the cast of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
SARAH MAYHEW (Congregation Member) An Alabama native, Mayhew earned her BA in Musical Theatre from Birmingham-Southern College in 2020, graduating as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. During the pandemic, she moved across the country to Lubbock, TX to pursue an MFA in Performance and Pedagogy from Texas Tech University. As part of her graduate assistantship, Mayhew teaches Introduction to Acting to non-major students; she also facilitates theatre workshops and camps for children and for adults with aphasia. Mayhew is on the Directing track of her degree and will direct The Five Lesbian Brothers' "The Secretaries" in Spring of 2023 in partial fulfillment of her MFA thesis. On Sunday mornings, Mayhew can be found in the choir loft at First United Methodist Church, where she is employed as a choral singer. She is also a founding member of the Feminist Commune theatre collective, which will be producing "The Vagina Monologues" as a way of raising awareness and funds for women's reproductive rights. Select credits include “Spring Awakening” (Adult Women), “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” (Sally Brown), “tick, tick…BOOM!” (Susan), “Sunday in the Park with George” (Yvonne), and “Time Zones Apart” (Jess - world premiere).
CALLIE COMBEST (Congregation) Lubbock native Callie Combest is 35 years old and is an entrepreneur, small business owner and artist in a variety of mediums. Most recently she opened Rock•Paper•Shears Hair Studio and Gallery in downtown Lubbock where she participates monthly in the First Friday Art Trail. Callie was involved in the theater program at Coronado High School, where she won best actress her senior year for her role in “Summer Brave.” She has been part of the Lubbock theater scene for the past few years and has enjoyed playing everyone from (Ouiser Boudreaux) to the (ensemble) of “Sweeney Todd,” among other roles. In her free time, she published a children’s book called “The Adventures of Pinkacorn,” through AuthorHouse which is available on their website or Amazon.

FLETCHER PAPE (Father Dupin/Congregation Member) Fletcher got his start in musical theater growing up in Babylon, New York. In the shadow of the city he cultivated a deep love for the performing arts, following his dream as he studied theater at SUNY Fredonia, continuing into his life in Lubbock, where he lives with his fiance, Isaiah. A singer and actor with well over a decade of experience, Fletcher prides himself on his versatility and wide vocal range. Some of his most memorable roles on stage include “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” (Henry Jekyll), “Jesus Christ Superstar” (Annas), “Hamlet” (Horatio), “Godspell” (Gilmer), “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (Zebulun), and “Seussical” (Thing 2). Fletcher is thrilled to be performing in his first production with the Wallace Theater, and hopes to create a lasting impression, lasting friendships, and lasting memories.
OMAR SAMAD (Daryl) Omar was born and raised in Lubbock, TX; and earned a Communications degree from Texas Tech University in 2020 with a Minor in Acting. Omar came to the Wallace Theater for the very first time just this past autumn to see some friends perform in “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” and had such a great time, that they just had to come back for more! Omar is thrilled to be a part of this show, and hopes to help create some magic like that night they saw “Sweeney Todd,” here at The Wallace. Omar has recently been involved in Lubbock Community Theatre’s productions of “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella,” “The 39 Steps,” and “Society Paige.” They’ve also been in Lubbock’s CATS Playhouse’s production of “The Uninvited,” and several plays during their time at Texas Tech University, including “RROAPS/RRADS” and “The BurkTech Players.” Omar is excited to work with some old friends in this production and is so, so grateful for the opportunity to do so.
